Lepra is a UK based international NGO working on neglected tropical diseases such as leprosy, lymphatic filariasis and visceral leishmaniasis for nearly 90 years. We treat, educate, rehabilitate and give a voice to people living on the margins of society in some of the remotest and poorest regions within India and Bangladesh. Officially the world’s first leprosy prevention organisation, we have built a global reputation for scientific research and have our own state-of-the-art research facility in India.

We also publish academic research on leprosy and pioneer successful models that are adopted by national governments, the World Health Organization and other NGOs.
